In the latest ICC test bowler’s rankings, India’s ace spinner R Ashwin is not anymore the number 1 ranked bowler in the world. He has been replaced by England fast bowler James Anderson.
James Anderson who performed well in the third test match against Pakistan has been crowned the number ranked bowler in the world. James Anderson is currently at 881 points. The second place is held by India’s ace spinner R Ashwin who did not pick many wickets in the 2nd innings of a second test match.
James Anderson fast bowling partner Stuart Broad occupies the 3rd place. He is currently at 854 points. The fourth place is occupied by Dale Steyn. He is currently at 841 points.
The fifth place is occupied by Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah. He did not had a great 3rd test match against England. He is currently at 791 points. The 6th place is occupied by India’s left-arm spinner R Jadeja who stays at number 6th place. He has not played any test match in the 2 test matches played in West Indies test series.
After some brilliant performance by Mitchell Starc in the 2nd test against Sri Lanka picking 11 wickets in Galle, he has risen to 7th place in ICC bowler rankings. Sri Lanka left-arm spinner Rangana Hearth also performed well in the 2nd test match. Hearth has jumped from 10th to 8th in the rankings.
The 9th place is occupied by New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult. He is currently at 762 points. The last place is occupied by Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood who did not have a great 2nd test match. In this rankings, 6 are fast bowlers and rest of 4 are spinners.
