Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has arguably been India’s best-limited overs bowler in the recent past and has been raising the bar with his consistent performances. He has delivered for the team whenever it has mattered the most, and it was evident from yet another match-winning performance in the final ODI of the three-match series against New Zealand where he and Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled India to a famous come from behind victory to seal yet another series.
Making his international debut for India in an ODI series against Australia in January 2016, Bumrah has made giant strides in international cricket and has already risen to become the top-ranked bowler in the world in the T20I format. He has some exceptional Yorkers and slower deliveries up his sleeve which has been a nightmare for many top order batsmen.
He has consistently bamboozled top-class batsmen with his lethal Yorkers and well-disguised slower deliveries. Like most of his teammates, Bumrah is a fine athlete and a brilliant fielder in the deep to back his exceptional bowling abilities. The fast-bowler shared a picture of himself via his twitter handle with a caption, “It takes dedication and hard work to consistently improve yourself. #stayfit #RaiseTheBar.”

Many cricketing experts and former cricketers have hailed Bumrah for his consistency over a period of nearly two years. Cricket adjudicator and a popular journalist Harsha Bhogle even suggested the team management to pick Bumrah for the Tests in South Africa. Given his tendency to produce some steep bounce even from Indian pitches Bumrah might well be a pretty handy option in overseas tours like South Africa, England and Australia.
In his brief career so far Bumrah has exceptional records to boast of. In 28 ODI matches, Bumrah has bagged 52 wickets at an impressive average of 22.28. The No one ranked bowler in T20I cricket has also bagged 40 wickets in the shortest format in 30 games at an exceptional average of 18.40.
