The newly-appointed skipper Joe Root for England has refused the statements which stated the Three Lions would be exhausted, before the start of the traditional Ashes series which will kick start on November 23 at Gabba in Brisbane.
England is bound to fly to Australia on October 28.
“If I’m not able to give my absolute best I’m probably doing the team a disservice, but at the moment I’m fit and ready go,” Root was quoted as saying by The Independent.
After rejecting the burnout owing to the busiest scheduled since May 05 this year when England started off with a One-day international fixture against Ireland which was held in Bristol.
The 26-year-old Yorkshire-born is concurrently leading England in the ongoing limited-overs series against Windies ahead of the fascinating Magellan Ashes which comprises of five-match series.
“I love the opportunity we get every time we put on the shirt, it’s such a proud feeling and I’ve never lost that from the start,” Root further added.
Root wants to give his best as a leader before leaving a significant impact with a bat which eventually would be a daunting task.
“I’m desperate to take every opportunity to play for England,” Root maintained.
The top-order batsman Root is not afraid of leading his way for the biggest challenge of his life while shouldering the responsibility in the Test format, after succeeding senior campaigner Alastair Cook, who stepped down from the captaincy after drawing flak.
Adamant in approach, Root showed no qualms of missing out on the remainder of the matches in the Royal London series against Jason Holder-led Caribbean side.
England would be hinging on all-rounder Ben Stokes in Ashes, as Moeen Ali has shown his promise both with the bat and a ball.

While leading the five-match competition 1-0 by seven-wicket at Old Trafford in Manchester, Root scored 54 and he is raring to go while revealing his body is coping well.
“I feel good. We had a chat before the series and I was asked if I felt like I can play,” Root asserted.
Interestingly, Root has missed out a three-match T20 series against South Africa which was held in June soon after the culmination of ICC Champion Trophy in the England and Wales.
It’s pertinent to mention; Root has played over five weeks in the total of six weeks respectively owing to the match-day fixtures.
Root burst into the international circuit in 2012. He played 93 ODIs, 60 Tests and 25 T20Is for Australia.
In 110 innings of the five-day game, Root is averaging 53.76 after scoring 5,323 runs. He smashed 13 hundreds and 32 fifties.
