As per the reports in Express News, Pakistan paceman Junaid Khan sustained a groin injury during a practice session today and that has put a question mark over his participation in the ICC World Cup 2015. An update over his injury is expected to come soon.

Junaid, who suffered a knee injury during the ODI series against Australia at UAE last year, had to go under the knife to get himself fit for the mega event. His rehabilitation process went well and that’s why he was selected in the Pakistan’s 15-man squad.

Pakistan and especially skipper Misbah-ul-Haq would desperately hope that he gets 100% fit as his bowling would very much come in handy on the Australian and New Zealand pitches. Junaid till now has played 48 ODIs and has picked up 75 wickets at an average of 25.90 with a economy rate of 5.14. He was a also a part of ICC World Cup 2011 but didn’t get to feature in any of the games.
