Former Sri Lankan player Kumar Sangakkara has made a tweet praising Virat Kohli for inspiring the team to the victory in Bengaluru test even in toughest conditions.

The Indian team looked down and out after getting out on a similar fashion in the first innings at Chinnaswamy Stadium after Pune test. The visitors were all over India after finishing Day 1 on high and have continued their dominance on the second day as they went into a deserved lead.

India, however, managed to put a sensational fight back in the third day as they managed to run through the Australian batting lineup to keep the visitors lead to less than 100 before they came out to bat on a tricky spinning track.

Indian openers have shown lot of positivity but Australia were all over India again before Rahane and Pujara made amends by putting up a sensational partnership in the final session of the  Day 3.

Mitchell Starc have managed to ensure India were bowled out in the first session on Day 4 before Indian spinners inspired the team to a historic win  after defending a mere 188 runs.

In a match where India looked clearly down and out, Virat Kohli have led the team with passion and made them believe that they can pull off a win on the spin track which had uneven bounce and turn.

After the game, Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara tweeted:”Great fight back by the Indian side @imVkohli seems to be able to inspire his team to give their all in any situation.”

Kohli’s captaincy has won a lot of plaudits as his aggressiveness and attitude to attack the players in the second innings have played dividends as India managed an impressive 75 run victory.

India will now face Australia in the third test at Ranchi, which will host its first ever international test match, on Thursday next week (March 16) as the series remains on line after India squaring at 1-1 at the end of second test match.
