Former Sri Lankan skipper and one of Sri Lanka’s star batsman, Kumar Sangakkara is not pleased with the announcement of the India series which was announced after West Indies withdrew themselves out of the India tour.
The SLC (Sri Lanka Cricket) accepted BCCI’s invitation for 5 ODI’s to be played in the start of November. This came in as a big surprise for the Sri Lankan wicket keeper Sangakkara as he raised concerns regarding abrupt ending to his fitness programmes.
This is what he tweeted –
Our 6 weeks of pure fitness work ends abruptly. Have a week to do a months requirement of skill work before India. Planning ahead anyone?

Former National Rugby Union captain, Chandrishan Perera is conducting rigorous training to maintain fitness levels of the Sri Lankan players ahead of the upcoming World Cup 2015.
The Sri Lankan team is going to play a lot fo cricket before the World Cup and that is the main reason of these fitness programmes. The Lankans are scheduled to play 7 ODIs at home against England from November 26th before heading off to New Zealand to play 2 Tests and 7 ODIs ahead of the World Cup.
Now, the gap before the England tour, which was scheduled to be preparation time for players, has suddenly been taken up by the India series, which starts from November 1st according to BCCI.
