Life's back to normal, says England all-rounder Stokes

London, April 21 (IANS) England all-rounder Ben Stokes who was carved for four consecutive sixes in the World Twenty20 final against the West Indies on April 3, says “life is back to normal now”.

The West Indies needed 19 runs of the last over to win their second T20 world cricket title and Stokes was given the ball by his captain Eoin Morgan. West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, known for his big hitting skills, then clobbered the England bowler for four back-to-back over boundaries to secure the victory for his side in the contest.

“Life’s back to normal, as normal as it can be for a cricketer. It was a big disappointment (losing to West Indies) but I am lucky it is a busy summer,” Stokes was quoted as saying by BBC.

He thanked the fans for the support and added he is presently focussing on his games for county side Durham and England.

“I had two weeks off and I got back straight into it, getting ready for the two games I have for Durham before the Test match,” Stokes added.
