IPL has been one of the predominant domestic leagues in the world cricket. To many, IPL means huge number of runs and high scores. Indeed it is a fact that for the past 7 sessions of IPL we have experienced run feasts, be it as an individual or as a team. We have decided to present you with some spicy stats in this article. Here is a list of the Indian players who scored the most number of runs(550+) in an IPL season.  This will show you that IPL is not only dominated by Foreign Players. Indian Players also bring up major contribution to the tournament and helped in increasing its charm.

Virat Kohli, 2013: Runs: 634  He has been one of the most consistent players for India for the past few years and his consistency has also been seen in IPL. He tops our list of the Most Runs by an Indian in any IPL season. He has been one of the powerhouse for Royal Challengers Bangalore for the past 3 seasons.

Sachin Tendulkar, 2010: Runs: 618  The Master Blaster has been in the top three in almost all of the run scoring statistics of World Cricket. This is also not an exception to it. He stands second in this list. And also to mention, he was the backbone and also the pivot of strength for MI in that season and MI were the runners-up in the season. He was also the MI captain in that season.

Gautam Gambhir, 2008: Runs: 590  The left handed opening batsmen showed his class in the very first season of IPL and he was one of the most consistent players for Delhi Daredevils in that time. He opened the innings for DD and made great contributions with the bat. He and Sehwag contributed to one of the most destructive opening pair in the history of IPL.

Robin Uthappa, 2014: Runs: 572  The KKR batsman did play like a fairy tale in this year’s IPL. He scored 10 consecutive 40+ scores in IPL 7 and always gave a match winning contribution with his bat. He was truly the best opening batsmen in IPL 7 and he is a major reason for KKR becoming champions of IPL 7.

Shikhar Dhawan, 2012: Runs: 569 The left handed opening batsman did play some blistering innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2012. His performance in that season impressed the selectors and he has been one of the opening batsmen for India in all forms of the game since then.

Ajinkya Rahane, 2012: Runs: 560 This young guy is one of the priceless talents for Indian cricket. He showed up his class in the 5th season of IPL. To add to his fortune, he opened the innings for Rajasthan Royals with Rahul Dravid. This also made his batting to improve tremendously and he has been one of the most consistent players of IPL since then.

Virat Kohli, 2011: Runs: 557 He was the shining star for India since then and is level of consistency is proved here too. He is the only player along with Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, whose name has appeared twice in the list. This shows his level of sheer consistency and dedication towards the game.

Sachin Tendulkar, 2012: Runs: 553  It was the second last IPL of the GOD of cricket and as usual he did not fail to impress. He scored a total of 553 runs in the 2012 session of IPL. He also held up a major contribution for his team Mumbai Indians and was highly responsible for MI being qualified for the play-offs.
