One of the most in-form batsmen in world cricket at the moment, Steve Smith, scoring more than 700 runs against India in 4 test matches at an average of above 128 scored more than 400 runs in the World Cup, helping the Australian team lift the World Cup this year has talked about Rajasthan Royals, Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli.
Smith who seems to have carried that form in to the IPL has already helped his team to victory in a couple of matches felt that his team has started strongly in this season but had a bit of a rough patch in between which was along with the rain wash out that they had to face. Smith felt that these interactions have made their season a start stop affair but said that the last victory gave them a lot of confidence and that it was always important for the team to play a good cricket at the business end of the tournament.
Smith was all praises for his team mentor Rahul Dravid. He felt that the influence that he provided them in the dressing room is invaluable and that teammates from all over the world has been able to pick important advices from him as to how to play in Indian conditions.
When asked about Virat Kohli who was a thorn in the Australian team all throughout the summer, Smith said that he had great respect towards him and that he one of the few players that he enjoys watching bat. He also added that he is one of his favorite players.
