The mere sight of Mahendra Singh Dhoni standing at the crease can make the best in the business shudder.
Bowling to a man, who has taken some of the best bowlers in the world to the cleaners, is a herculean task for any bowler in the world let alone an aspiring cricketer, who is still finding his feat in the game. But the case is different for 17-year old fast bowler Agnibesh Paul.
The teenager, who plays second division cricket in Kolkata, has grabbed the limelight after cleaning up the former India skipper with ease during the practice session at the Eden Gardens prior to the third and final ODI against England.
News outlet Xtratime has reported the teenager left Dhoni very impressed with his bowling and even drew some lavish praise from the 35-year-old.
As quoted in the outlet, Dhoni, after being castled by the net bowler, said:
“Great bowling, your line and length is perfect, keep it up”.
As expected, Agnibesh was very delighted with the incredible achievement and revealed he had achieved similar feats against Gautam Gambhir and Ajinkya Rahane in the past.
“I am delighted to have castled Dhoni, earlier I had dismissed Gautam Gambhir at KKR practice and Ajinkya Rahane during Pune Supergiants’ practice at the Eden Gardens,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Indian had an optional practice on Saturday, which was skipped by Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin. However, Dhoni, who had scored 134 in the second ODI at Cuttack, attended the session. He was seen bowling in the nets ahead of the final match, and was also seen inspecting the Eden pitch and taking the feedback of locals.
