Yesterday, he has shown his guts again when as a skipper of East Zone, he contributed a vital unbeaten 100 in a Duleep trophy mach against West Zone, thus leaving his team with a reasonable score of 278 on the first day of the four day encounter. In fact, East zone were 116 for 5 when Manoj Tiwari and Laxmi Ratan Shukla took over and they were able to bail out their team successfully by batting sensibly and added 69 runs in just 50 balls. Shukla scored 54 runs. However East zone were bowed in 75 overs.
