Captain Mark Cosgrove has extended his contract with Leicestershire County Club by one year, the club confirmed on Friday (June 9). With this extension, he is set to stay with the club until the end of the 2019 season.
“We are absolutely delighted that Mark has committed his future to the club. He has been a high-class performer across all formats in his time with us. “Mark has been the club’s leading scorer in the Specsavers County Championship in the last two seasons and his 188 against Derbyshire two weeks ago once again illustrated the quality player that we have. Mark continues to play a mentoring and key educating role with the younger batsmen at the club.”
The South Australian was named the Bradman Young Cricketer Of The Year in 2005 and has played three One-Day Internationals for Australia.
