Match in picture: Warriors defeat Blasters  for the 2nd successive time to win the series

Warne’s Warriors have clinched the first edition of the All Star T20 league as they defeated Sachin’s Blaster by 57 runs in a high scoring match.

Warriors have scored 262 in 20 overs with the help of Kumar Sangakkara’s 29 balls 70, Ricky Ponting’s 16 balls 41 while Jacques Kallis scored 45 off 23 balls.

Matthew Hayden and  Micheal Vaughan built a 51 run first wicket partnership. Hayden played a 32 run innings, which was comprised of three big sixes, before being bowled out by Glenn Mcgrath.

In the last two overs of Warriors’ innings, Jonty Rhodes and Andrew Symonds played some lusty shots to score 8 balls 18 and 6 balls 19 to add more runs to the hefty total.

While chasing the score, Blasters lost their top half in 102 runs. Explosive opener Virender Sehwag was played down by Ajit Agarkar that totally derailed Blaster’s chase. However, Shaun Pollock played 22 balls 55 run entertaining innings. Blasters could finally able to put 208 runs on board losing 8 wickets which was 57 runs short of Warriors’ total.
