The ICC announced the names of officials, who are set to officiate in the upcoming test series between hosts India and South Africa. The first test will be played in Mohali from the 5th of November. For the first test in Mohali, the match referee will be Jeff Crowe while the two officiating umpires will be Kumar Dharmasena and Richard Kettleborough.

The second test in Bangalore will have a change in the on-field umpires. While Richard Kettleborough will remain as one of the umpires, Ian Gould will replace the Sri Lankan, Kumar Dharmasena. For the third test in Nagpur, the Australian Bruce Oxenford will replace Kettleborough and officiate alongside Ian Gould.

For the fourth and final test in Delhi, Kumar Dharmasena and Bruce Oxenford will be the on-field umpires. In the absence of the Decision Review System (DRS), the umpires indeed will be under a lot of pressure to give correct decisions.

A point worth noting is that no Pakistani will officiate in the test series, considering the strained political relations between India and Pakistan in recent times.

1st Test: Kumar Dharmasena, Richard Kettleborough

2nd test: Ian Gould, Richard Kettleborough

3rd Test: Ian Gould, Bruce Oxenford

4th Test: Kumar Dharmasena, Bruce Oxenford
