Matthew Maynard, the newly appointed Director of Cricket for Somerset will service The Scotland Cricket team in their preparation for the 2015 ICC World Cup which will be held February in Australia and New Zealand. Matthew Maynard will loan a hand in teaching the Scottish players during the nine day batting session, which is scheduled to begin on 11th November, 2014 at the International Cricket Council Academy in Dubai.

Matthew has been allowed to furnish his services under the International Cricket Council High Performance Programme. The 48 years old former assistant coach of the England team said that he is very happy to be able to join with Cricket Scotland to help the Scotland squad prepare for the 2015 Cricket World Cup. It is a thrilling time for Cricket Scotland and the camp in Dubai will offer a great training experience for the players along with the coaches.

Scotland head coach Grant Bradburn greeted Maynard in his move to give his perceptions to the players at the batting camp. He added that with his great previous career record it is a great chance for the players to work on different facets of their batting, furthering the training process of what they have earned during their current tour to Australia and New Zealand.
