With the age of social media spreading around the globe like a wildfire, communicating with cricketers has become rather uncomplicated. Social media as a tool has often been used by cricketer to express their views about ongoing games and share incidents with fans. Thus, it comes as no surprise, when cricketers openly respond to fans on sites like Twitter and Facebook.

Former Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson is one such member of the cricketing fraternity who loves to interact with people on Twitter. Johnson, often known for his outspoken and over the top views, recently had a run-in with a Sri Lankan fan on Twitter.

The ongoing test series between hosts Sri Lanka and Australia has been completely fascinating, with the hosts wholly dominating the Kangaroos. After a famous and memorable victory in the first test at Kandy, the Sri Lankans were in high spirits and on cloud nine. Youngster Kusal Mendis became an overnight sensation and icon, thanks to his gritty century in Sri Lanka’s second innings which turned the tide.

With the second test currently underway, a Sri Lankan fan took this opportunity to taunt the now retired Mitchell Johnson. The fan said that the pacer should consider himself lucky as he retired before facing Kusal Mendis in his career.

To the taunt, Johnson reacted in the shortest way possible, by just asking back, “Who’s that”. It was a witty response from the left arm pacer who seemed rather unfazed by all the attention the fan was getting for dragging his name into the picture.

Below, is that tweet and the subsequent response from Mitchell Johnson.
