Mahendra Singh Dhoni, 33 years birthday boy, is said to be luckiest captains in cricket history as he tried many abnormal strategies in his career. Maximum time these strategies clicked. In an interview on his birthday he told about the traits, ideas that helped him to snatch the world cup 2011, the world twenty 20 in 2007. He also added that he act in the field sensibly from the previous experience he gained from other matches. He also said that he does not plan much, sometimes he rely on his own gut feeling. He told that gut feeling does not come without experience. Guts feeling is not like that it comes without any logic, it comes from the past experiences of all the cricket he have played in his life and the situations he have faced said Dhoni to the media.

It is lot more difficult to set orders or plans upon the seniors, same things faced Dhoni when he shared dressing room with Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid. Dhoni also added that the seniors experienced ideas helped him a lot to think something effective. When sometimes Dhoni did not like the ideas of seniors, they did not mind rather after 10 to 15 minutes they would again come up with a different idea or options. He appreciated senior’s nature because if they somehow offended his ideas he could not explore himself this way.

Nowadays Dhoni does not like to plan which cannot be implemented by bowlers, so he let the bowlers do their own plan and own fields and encourage them to think for themselves.

Dhoni admitted that Sachin played a crucial role, in promoting him as the captain of team India. He never thought about being a captain of team India rather he focused on being an important part of the team. On Sachin’s role he said that whenever Ssachin came to bowl, he took Dhoni’s advice about which ball should work on that particular pitch. Dhoni gave him appropriate honest suggestion that made Sachin to believe that Dhoni read the game well.
