Pune Super Giants captain MS Dhoni was seen hitting a big six during the net session at Wankhede Stadium, where the first match of IPL 9 will be held.
The first match will be played between the new IPL team Pune and Mumbai Indians, the champions of 2015.
Dhoni who recently played the semifinal against eventual WT20 champion West Indies at Wankhede is getting ready for his new job with a new IPL team.
Dhoni has played for now banned Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings. He was bought by Pune and appointed as captain of the team. Stephen Fleming is the coach of Pune.
Dhoni who is known for power hitting will try to salvage his hitting prowess during this IPL to prove his fitness. Dhoni has an outstanding success rate with CSK. He has won two IPL trophies and reached the final for six times.
