One of the most anticipated movies of this year, the biopic of Indian captain MS Dhoni named,’M.S.Dhoni-The Untold Story’ has run into trouble in Maharashtra. It was recently announced that the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer movie will be dubbed in Marathi before the release in the state.  However, Maharashtra’s political, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is not happy with the move and has written to the distributors of the film-Fox Entertainment- expressing their opposition over the decision.

Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena (MNCKS), the film wing of the party has reportedly said the film distributors that they are fine with the original version and do not need the movie to be dubbed in Marathi and if the movie is dubbed then they won’t allow it to be screened in the state.

When asked about the reason for the opposition, Ameya Khopkar, president of the wing, said that dubbing a Hindi movie into Marathi is bad for the Marathi film industry as it creates competition for Marathi films.

Meanwhile, the makers have also dubbed the film in Tamil and Telugu, the trailers of which were launched by popular actors Dhanush and Naveen Babu respectively.

The Movie traces the journey of India’s most successful skipper, who crossed numerous barriers and fought against all the odds to realize his dream of donning the Indian jersey.

Dhoni’s journey from a T.C in the Indian Railways to the pinnacle of world cricket forms the crux of the story.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, ‘M.S.Dhoni – The Untold Story’ is set to hit the theaters on September 30, 2016.
