IPL 2016: Mumbai Indians Predicted XI

The defending champions, Mumbai Indians will lock horns with the new entrance in IPL Rising Pune Super Giants in the first of the tournament. The match will be played at the home ground of Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. Finally, after few obstacles court has allowed BCCI to host IPL matches in Maharashtra.

Mumbai Indians made some smart purchases this year like young fast bowler Nathu Singh, Jos Butler and Tim Southee. They also purchased all rounder from Baroda Krunal Pandya, brother of Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya. It will be interesting to see that if krunal is able to do justice with his selling price or gets buried under the performance pressure. The defending champions are one of the strongest contenders to win the cup again. They have the likes of experienced players like Harbhajan Singh, Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and many other players. They also have the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar as their mentor which adds weight to this team.

They also have the bunch of domestic players like Nitish Rana, Unmukt Chand, Shreyas Gopal, and many more. They all might get their chance whenever the team needs them. Surely Unmukt will get his chance after few matches but we cannot ignore Nitish Rana this time. The batsman from Delhi is in superb form as he scored heavily in the domestic season this year. He was the highest run-scorer for Delhi in Ranji trophy. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy, he smashed highest number sixes. He smacked 21 towering sixes in that tournament. So we may see him playing in IPL this season. Talking to local boy Sidesh lad he will also get his chance.
The team will miss the services of Lasith Malinga for few matches but the toe breaker will return to action in some time.

It will be a difficult decision for Rohit Sharma to pick playing XI as the team has the bunch of star players. The playing XI for tomorrow’s match is as follows-

1. Lendl Simmons
2. Parthiv Patel
3. Rohit Sharma
4. Jos Buttler
5. Ambati Rayudu
6. Corey Anderson
7. Hardik Pandya
8. Kieron Pollard
9. Harbhajan Singh
10. Jasprit Bumrah
11. Nathu Singh
