Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is satisfied with Mustafizur Rahman’s fitness and gave him a green signal to join the England county side Sussex next month.
The BCB has already started accumulating documents to apply for Rahman’s visa for England.
A BCB insider said, “the process has already begun.”
According to the Bangladesh’s cricket’s governing body, Mustafizur Rahman will likely to leave for England on July 12 or 13.
The board also said that they always want Mustafizur Rahman to play in England because that will help him to know the differences of English pitches before Bangladesh’s visit to England during the 2017 Champions Trophy.
Besides this, the wet English pitches will also help Mustafizur Rahman to hone his bowling skills.
However, BCB said that the final decision will be up to the bowler himself. As per, the BCB medical team Mustafizur Rahman’s weight has reduced while playing in IPL and he has suffered from homesickness. Mustafizur Rahman, who made his debut as a teenager against India in 2015, spent a lot of time outside his home for the first time in his life.
The BCB, as a result, asked Mustafizur Rahman to spend some time at his hometown Satkhira. The medical team has also set a special fitness rule for him to help him to regain the weight.
He also started bowling at net recently and looks fine.
Meanwhile, the Sussex has released a statement said Mustafizur Rahman will make his debut on July 15.
Mustafizur Rahman since his debut has become a dangerous bowler. His cutters are unplayable for the batsmen around the world. In his maiden IPL trip, he has been extremely successful. His bowling helped Sunrisers Hyderabad a lot to emerge champion. He has taken 17 wickets in 16 matches and finished fifth in the table with the best figure of 3 for 16.
