MS Dhoni-The Untold Story

Yesterday was a big day for M.S. Dhoni as finally after a wait of two years from the date the release of the movie was announced, the trailer of the much-awaited movie was released which is now is reaping praises all around the world. The trailer was released with great pomp and shows in the presence of media who covered the event in large numbers.

The launch of the trailer shows the journey of Mahi, from being a goalkeeper to a wicket keeper, from being a ticket collector to be a trophy collector and also all the hardships he faced in his life. The 3 minutes 18seconds trailer also has a 20 seconds scene which has already raised few questions which have forced the fans to go back to 2008 and to find out that who were the three senior players who Dhoni dropped then?

Today we reveal the names of two of the three players which trailer talks about. Now all of has to rewind 8 years of our life and we will be able to clearly find out that who these players are. Still not found. Here we go –

The first of the three players is Sourav Ganguly who was the captain of Indian cricket team when Dhoni made his debut in international cricket in an ODI against Bangladesh.

The second player is Rahul Dravid who was the leader of the Indian team when Dhoni made his debut in red ball cricket.

Both of them were quite senior to M.S Dhoni and it was under their guidance only when Dhoni became a permanent member of the team and went on to replace both of them in their respective roles i.e. captain of Indian cricket team.

Both the star players were dropped from the ODI team that toured to Australia to play CB Tri-series. Indian team derailed the host’s team in the first and second final of the series to post a thumping win in both the matches to clinch the tri-series.

At that time Dhoni did not give any statement on the issue of both these senior players dropped from the team but BCCI secretary of that time Niranjan Shah answered the media on this issue and said “The emphasis was on fielding abilities and they wanted a young fielding side for the series. That’s why you see a lot of youngsters in the side.”

This fielding issue has been the main reason behind the ouster of senior players from the team. Remember Dhoni gave the same statement during the disastrous tour of Australia in 2011/12. One thing is sure, this shows that Dhoni has been very particular about fielding during his stint as it was for the second time when this reason have been given for advocating the dropping of a player from the team.

The third player is not yet identified as Murali Kartik and Yuvraj Singh were only two players who were dropped from the team from that tour and were senior to Dhoni. Yuvi was dropped because he failed to recover from an injury. So is Murali Kartik the third player? The answer seems to be yes as per our findings.

Rest we have to wait and watch till the release of the movie which will hit theatres on September 30, 2016. Do visit the nearby theatres to find out who the third player was.
