Namma Shivamogga continued their winning streak as they defeated Rockstars by 8 wickets in the Karnataka Premier League match at Hubli just a few moments ago. It was a good batting performance by the Rockstars, but the bowlers failed to defend it. Namma Shivamogga has now won 3 out of 3 matches in the tournament so far.

Chasing a target of 147 Namma Shivamogga openers Sadiq Kirmani and Samarth Ooty began off well scoring 29 off the first five overs. After the power play over’s both players attacked the Rockstars bowling attack. Sadiq was severe on the bowlers and smashed to all parts of the ground. Both the players completed half centuries. Samarth Ooty was the first batsmen out for 51 as both of them shared 129 runs for the first wicket. Abbas was dismissed after scoring only 1 run. The next man in Borwankar came and scored 5 runs. Kirmani hit the winning runs and remained not out on 87. Namma Shivamogga won the match by 8 wickets with 21 balls to spare. Gowda and Sudeep picked 1 wicket each.

Namma Shivamogga won the toss and elected to field. Rockstars openers Rajeev and Sachin Joshi came to open the innings, but Sachin Joshi was dismissed for 2 only. Rajeev and Madan Mohan attacked the Namma Shivamogga bowlers as Rajeev hit boundaries and put pressure on their bowlers. At the end of 6 over’s Rockstars were35 for 1. Rajeev and Madan Mohan made sure that rock stars were on track for a competitive total. Rajeev reached to his half century and was dismissed soon after. Namma Shivamogga bowlers came and stop the flow of runs. Madan Mohan was dismissed for 31 leaving rock stars at 97 for 3 in 15 over’s. Charan Teja came and hit some big sixes. He scored quickfire 41 off 26 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes. At the end of 20 over’s Rockstars reached 146 for 4. The pick of the bowlers was Vishwanath picking 2 wickets and Gulecha, Sagar picked 1 wicket each.
