The Cricket Association of Blind, Nepal (CAB Nepal) start working to host Great Britain in the world’s first ever blind women’s series in Kathmandu from 26th October to 28th October. CAB Nepal President Pawan Ghimire said that it will be a 3 match Twenty-20 series which are going to be played at the Institute of Engineering grounds in Pulchowk, claiming that the tournament is the first of its kind in the world. He also added that they are the first country to have a visually impaired women’s team and the tournament they are hosting is also the first of its kind in the world. The main objective of this tournament is to help gain the skill of these ladies and boost their morale, said Ghimire. Britain formed their women’s team after coming to know of the Nepali team. He also said that Pakistan is also preparing to form a team and are willing to host Nepal in friendly matches in November, 2015. Nepal has also declared a 15 member team for the series against Britain who arrived with 18 players Monday.
