Kiwi batsman Jesse Ryder is likely to be named in the New Zealand A squad for the four one-day games in Dubai next month, in the first tentative steps to be considered for the national team.

Stuff.co.nz reported that the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) and the national coach Mike Hesson are taking Ryder’s pledge to commit to an international return and curb his off-field behaviour seriously.

Hesson has been in continuous touch with Ryder and is more or less convinced that he should be given a chance to prove himself ahead of the World Cup 2015

Should Ryder go to Dubai with New Zealand-A team, scores runs and stay a nice guy, he’ll most certainly be included in the 30-man probable squad for the World Cup.
