The designs of helmets came to a major debate when the late Australian opener Phillip Hughes was struck by a bouncer at the back of his head which injured him seriously and unfortunately, he lost his life as a result of using it. Some reports suggested that Hughes used a Masuri old desgn helmet and he could have escaped injury if he was using the newly designed helmet.
