NZ vs Bangladesh: Ross Taylor Makes Comeback For Test Series Versus Bangladesh

The New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has made a comeback to the team after successfully going through an eye surgery last month. He missed the Chappell-Hadlee series against Australia and further went on to miss the limited overs series against Bangladesh as well. He underwent a surgery for pterygium and has now made a comeback in the international circuit once again.
“It’s great to have Ross back,” Gavin Larsen, the New Zealand selector, said. “He has a phenomenal record that speaks for itself and he’s coming off a terrific hundred in his last Test. He’s obviously been an essential part of our Test side for a long time and brings invaluable experience and knowledge to the group.”
Along with him, Trent Boult, who was sidelined out of the second Test match against Pakistan has also made a comeback to the Test squad. Though he played the T20I series against Bangladesh but missed the ODI series. Tim Southee, who was rested for the T20I series has also been included.
Doug Bracewell and Todd Astle have been left out f the squad. Bracewell did not get a game against Pakistan whereas Astle was the part of playing XI in the first game.
The first Test of the series is scheduled to kick off on January 12 at Wellington before Bangladesh will end their tour in the second Test match to be played from January 20.
