Pakistan have named an unchanged squad for three Tests against Australia, starting next month.
The selectors have retained an underperforming Younis Khan for a tough and testing tour. Younis, till now, has just scored five runs against New Zealand and another failure will dampen his chances of retaining his place in the squad.
Mohammad Rizwan and Sharjeel Khan have also been retained. Rizwan got out for a duck in his debut Test against New Zealand while Sharjeel did not play a game on the tour.
Mohammad Hafeez’s exclusion has come as a surprise as the all-rounder is fit but selectors have decided not to tinker with the current team.
The three-Test series starts from December 15, with the first match to be played at Brisbane before both teams fly to Melbourne for the Boxing Day Test. The third and final Test at Sydney will mark the end of the series, before the action turns to limited-overs format. The first Test at Brisbane will be a day/night fixture.
