Pakistan U19 finished on top of the group table after beating Sri Lanka U19 in their final Group B match at Shere Bangla Stadium (Dhaka).

After winning the toss, Sri Lanka U19 decided to bowl first. Except middle-order batsman Hasan Mohsin, the top-order and middle-order batsmen failed to capitalize their good starts. Mohsin scored 86 runs in 86 balls and took the team total at 212 runs (all-out) in 48.4 overs. Sri Lankan bowlers bowled very discipline in that innings.

During that innings, Sri Lankan spinner Kamindu Mendis bowled with his both-arm in his first over. First he bowled with left arm and then he changed his arm into right-hand at the time of 5th ball to the left-handed batsman Salman Fayyaz.

In reply, only Kamindu Mendis and Vishad Randika managed to play a good knock against Pakistan bowlers. Mendis scored 68 runs while Randika scored 46 runs. Sri Lanka U19 bowled out for just 189 runs in 46.4 overs. Pakistan bowlers defended the small total by their discipline bowling efforts. Shadab Khan picked up 3 wickets for Pakistan colts. Hasan Mohsin picked up 2 wickets in that innings for Pakistan.

Hasan Mohsin received the man of the match award for his outstanding all-round efforts in the match. With this win, Pakistan U19 reached into quarter-final as a group champion and will play against West Indies U19 (Group C runner-up). On the other hand, Sri Lanka U19 also reached into quarter-final as a group runner-up where they will play against England U19 (Group C champion).
