1. Steven Smith
Steven Smith stood tall against all odds and came to the rescue of Australia when it was on a downslide ride. He scored a century. He stood at the crease for a long time. He scored 2 sixes and 4 fours. His century was of a great help to Australia in reaching a above par score and to give Pakistan a commendable score to chase.
2. David Warner
David Warner was another batsman who performed very well today. He and Smith made 86 runs for the 2nd wicket partnership. They provided the firm grips for Australia in the beginning.
3. Umar Akmal
Umar Akmal was the lone warrior who stood till the last moment for Pakistan. But he alone was not enough to chase such a gigantic score. In the end he scored 46 runs. All his efforts went into vain as others did not perform.
4. Shahid Afridi

1. Aaron Finch
Aaron Finch’s performance was very poor today. He was dismissed on the very first ball of the game by Mohammad Irfan. He is a good batsman but today luck did not favour him.
Misbah-ul-Haq, the skipper was also dismissed for a duck. This showed his poor performance. The whole Pakistan team crumbled to Australia. He was dismissed by Nathan Lyon.
3. Ahmed Shehzad
Ahmed Shehzad, the opening batsman for Pakistan was dismissed for a low score. He scored only 4 runs. His performance surely showed the weakness of his form. He must learn from his mistakes and quickly come in form.
4. Anwar Ali
Anwar Ali was very expensive bowler today. He gave away 52 runs in just 8 overs. The Australians and mainly Smith took the advantage of his bowling and scored huge runs. He picked up no wickets and had an economy rate of 6.5.
5. Fawad Alam
