Today was the 2nd ODI of the 3 ODIs to be played between Pakistan and Australia in the UAE. Pakistan started the match today. Pakistan had one of the best opening partnership today. They were in total control of the game for the 1st half of the innings. But the quick dismissals of the opening pairs proved the demise of the Pakistan innings. On the contrary Australia didn’t have a great opening partnership but their runs were consistent and their run rate was above required run rate all the time. Here are the Hits and Flops of the match.

Hits of the Day

1. Sarfraz Ahmed

Sarfraz Ahmed played very well after the defeat of Pakistan in the last ODI. He was the part of the opening partnership and he and his partner played really well. They brought Pakistan to a score where they could challenge Australia. Their opening partnership was of 126 runs. But sadly after they departed the rest batting lineup didn’t do much damage.

2. Ahmed Shehzad

Ahmed Shehzad featured in our Flops list. And now he is in the Hits list. He did some homework. He showed his batting skills today and created hope for Pakistan in achieving a high score and he did his part well in the 1st half of the innings but when he was dismissed there was no good news for Pakistan.

Glenn Maxwell brought the stability in the innings and finally took the control in his hands. He scored a marvelous 8th ODI half-century. He and Bailey had a partnership of 85 runs. They made it is easy for Australia.

Flops of the Day

1. Misbah-ul-Haq

Misbah-ul-Haq once again featured in our Flops list. This time he was run out. He really missed out and was not able to lead his team’s batting innings. He must buckle up and give all he has in the last ODI.
