Pakistan’s Shahzaib Hasan has come under scanner yet again, after the anti-corruption unit of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) questioned him for the second time over his alleged involvement in the spot-fixing scandal of PSL 2017. The unit, however, haven’t taken any action against the batsman till now.
The hearing which went for nearly four hours was his second one, apparently. The unit is still undecided about putting any charge on the allegedly tainted batsman. Also, Shahzaib had to come to twice for his hearing to the PCB office at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, after Salman Naseer, a member of the anti-corruption unit, wasn’t available when he came first.
Going by the words of a PCB spokesperson, the batsman could be called again on Thursday as the board and the unit is set to hand him a notice.
Till now, the unit has slapped charges on three players; Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif and paceman Mohammad Irfan on the spot-fixing case.
