Today was the 13th match of the Big Bash League 2014-15. Sydney Thunder started the game with a bang. Everyone batted well, especially Jacques Kallis. It was an easy win for the Sydney Thunder over Perth Scorchers. Here are the Hits and Flops of the match.

Hits of the Day

1. Jacques Kallis

Jacques Kallis took charge of the batting performed tremendously well. He scored one of the highest runs in this league. He destroyed all the bowlers and scored 70 runs in 49 balls with a strike rate of 142.9. He scored 9 boundaries and 2 sixes. His bowling too was the best today. In his 4 overs he picked 2 wickets and gave 24 runs with an economy of 6.

2. Aiden Blizzard

Aiden Blizzard too performed pretty well and was just 3 runs short of a half-century. He had great partnership with Jacques Kallis. He scored 47 runs in 31 balls with a strike rate of 151.6 and hit 5 boundaries and 2 sixes.

3. Michael Hussey

The skipper Michael Hussey performance was it his best today. He came to bat after Aiden Blizzard was dismissed. He scored runs at a tremendous rate. He strike rate was 171.4 and he scored 36 runs and was not out. His runs came off 21 balls and hit 4 boundaries.

4. Michael Carberry

Michael Carberry too scored a half century today. He was the lone warrior of the Perth Scorchers. He only scored good runs. The target was too high for him alone to chase. Although he did bat beautifully. He scored 69 runs in 48 balls with a strike rate of 143.8. He hit 8 boundaries and 1 six.

5. Josh Lalor

Josh Lalor gave the minimum runs today. He managed to pick up 1 wicket. He gave away 23 runs in his 4 overs spell with an economy rate of 5.8.

Flops of the Day                    

1. Andrew McDonald

Andrew McDonald was the only batsman from Sydney Thunder who didn’t perform well. He was in the opening batsman pair. He scored only 7 runs. We hope he gets in good form soon.

2. Matt Dixon

Matt Dixon gave the most runs today. He was the most expensive bowler. He gave away 48 runs in just 4 overs with an economy of 12 and didn’t manage to pick any wickets.

3. Jason Behrendorff

Jason Behrendorff was another expensive bowler. He gave the 2nd most runs today. He gave 40 runs in his 4 overs spell with an economy of 10. He namaged to pick 1 wicket in the 4th over but it didn’t prove helpful.

4. Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins was another expensive bowler. He gave away 39 runs in 4 overs. His economy rate was 9.8. His bad bowling didn’t affect much because other players who batted very well.
