It was the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) which Sran admitted and also accepted the sanction of fine.

  1. Glenn Maxwell (Kings XI Punjab)

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was fined 25% of his match fees in IPL 2016. Maxwell was fined for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Hyderabad on 23rd April night.

Later, Maxwell admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match and accepted the sanction of 25% fine of his match fees.

In the same match, his team-mate Shaun Marsh was also reprimanded for the same incident which Marsh admitted too but escaped from fine as he was only given a warning.

  1. Virat Kohli (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has already been fined twice in the ongoing IPL 2016 for his team’s slow over rate.

The first time slow over rate occurred in the match against Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) at Pune on 22nd April night. As a result, Virat Kohli was fined INR 12 lakh for that first offence of the season. The offence was under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences.

The same offence by Kohli this season was against Kolkata Knight Riders at Bangalore, which was played on 3rd May. Kohli was fined INR 24 lakh this time as it was his second offence. Add to that, the rest of his team-mates were also fined INR 6 lakh each for that offence.

One more slow-over rate offence of Virat Kohli in the ongoing IPL will fetch him one match suspension.

  1. Gautam Gambhir (Kolkata Knight Riders)

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir was fined in the same match (On 3rd May – RCB vs KKR at Bangalore) where Virat Kohli was fined INR 24 lakh but for a different reason.

Gambhir was fined 15% of his match fees due to kicking a chair which comes under level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match.

Gambhir admitted that offence and accepted that fine.

  1. Dwayne Bravo (Gujarat Lions)

Gujarat Lions (GL) all-rounder Dwayne Bravo faced 50% fine of his match fees for breaching IPL code of conduct during his team’s match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Kanpur on 21st May.

Bravo seemed to nudge MI batsman Kieron Pollard though it was just a light banter, in his own and Pollard’s words.
