Indian paceman, Praveen Kumar has been ruled out from the ongoing Champions League T20 after he catched up with an injury to his right shoulder during Mumbai Indians‘ opening game in the qualifiers against Lahore Lions on Saturday.
Praveen did not play in the Mumbai Indians’ second game against Southern Express and was been replaced by leg-spinner, Shreyas Gopal but the reason wasn’t revealed during the pre match or post match confession. However, the Mumbai Indians’ website report mentioned that Praveen injured his right shoulder in the earlier game. Now, Praveen Kumar will undergoing assessment from doctors and reports are awaited to know the full extent of his injury.
“Praveen Kumar sustained an injury to his right shoulder during Mumbai Indians first CLT20 qualifier match. He is undergoing a thorough medical assessment and reports are awaited,” stated in a Mumbai Indians’ press release.
In place of Praveen Kumar Delhi’s left-arm pace bowler Pawan Suyal has been called as replacement and will be part of Mumbai Indians campaign for the remainder of the CLT20 tournament.
