Indian team is all set and ready to take on the New Zealand side on March 15 at Nagpur. Indian team have also played two practice matches before this big match.

In the first practice match the Indian team comfortably defeated the West Indies side but in the second nail biting practice match against South Africa India suffered close defeat but almost every batmen showed good character and are ready to produce the goods.

Indian team will clash with the New Zealand side in the first match of the main round in World Cup. Indian team is all geared up and is ready for a big clash but team will have a scary fact in their mind that Indian team has never defeated the Kiwi side and surely this fact will have an effect on the home side.

The hosts will be looking to put a break on the winning streak of the New Zealand team. A win here will surely build the confidence of the Indian team. The bowling line up of the Indian team received a boost as Mohammad Shami who returned to the international circuit almost after an year bowled beautifully in both the practice matches and was accurate with his line and lengths.

The team looks in good form but it will be a difficult job for captain Dhoni to select the playing XI team as Nehra, Bumrah and Shami all are in good form but it’s difficult to include all the three pacer at the same time in these conditions.

There are speculations that Shami will replace Nehra in the squad because it’s difficult to drop Bumrah because of his accurate Yorkers and strange action. So Nehra may have to vacant his place in place for Shami.

Rest of the team will be same which played in the final match of Asia Cup as batting unit is well settled and have showed god character in the recent matches. Also it’s impossible to drop spin bowler Ashwin and all rounder Jadeja and Bumrah.

Expected playing XI against New Zealand– Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, M.S. Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, R.Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami.
