Key Players –
Virat Kohli has looked in good touch in the past 2 to 3 matches. Against Kolkata Knight Riders where the match got curtailed due to rain, RCB needed 112 runs in 10 overs. He and Gayle gave a good start scoring 48 off 3.5 overs. He has got back his confidence after a bit of a dip earlier in the season. He scored 34 off 20 balls. In today’s match he needs to convert these starts into a big score and help Royal Challengers Bangalore to win the match.
Mitchell Starc –
Mitchell Starc has been the star bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament so far. In the rain curtailed match against Kolkata Knight Riders he bowled an exceptional last over conceding 8 runs off the last over and restricted KKR to 111. He bowled 2 overs and conceded 15 runs picking 1 wicket too. Against a good batting line-up he needs to come good again by picking wickets and also controlling the run flow.
Suresh Raina –
Suresh Raina has not been a consistent performer for Chennai Super Kings this year. Against Sunrisers he came and timed the ball on a good batting pitch. He hit 3 sixes during his innings of 23 and got out at a crucial moment. Against RCB he must come to the party if Chennai Super Kings have to get past a confident RCB side.
Ashish Nehra –
Ashish Nehra has been the consistent performer for Chennai Super Kings with ball. He has 14 wickets to his name and is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. He bowled 4 overs and conceded 31 runs against SRH. Against RCB he needs to pick wickets early to put pressure on top quality batting line up of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
