    Rajasthan Royals will meet again Royal Challengers Bangalore today in Bangalore at 8.00 PM. The last time both teams met was on 24th April where Royal Challengers Bangalore crusheddd Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets.

    It was an excellent performance by the Royal Challengers Bangalore team who kept the Rajasthan Royals team to a small total of 130 runs and chased down the target easily. It promises to be an excellent battle between two sides on a good batting pitch at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Daredevils in their last match where Rajasthan Royals last match was washed out due to rains.

    Last year, these two teams met was on 26th April in Abu Dhabi. Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field. Rajasthan bowlers were brilliant with the ball and created pressure on the Royal Challengers batsmen. Royal Challengers batsmen lost wickets at regular wickets. The top scorer for Royal Challengers Bangalore was Virat Kohli for 21. Royal Challengers were bowled out for 70. While Chasing Rajasthan Royals lost 4 wickets also of Rahane, Nair, Samson and Watson. Rajasthan chased down the target in 13 overs.

    After 15 days they met again but this time in Bangalore. It was a high scoring match. Rajasthan won the toss and elected to field. They lost 3 early wickets of Kohli, Gayle and Vijay Zol. After that AB de Villiers and Yuvraj Singh put up a brilliant partnership. Yuvraj Singh scored 83 off 38 balls while De Villers scored 58 off 32 balls.

    Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 190 for 5 in 20 overs. While Chasing Rahane and Nair put up a first wicket partnership of 54 runs. Karun Nair scored 56 runs eventually but Rajasthan were struggling at 106 for 5 but Smith and Faulkner smashed the Royal Challengers bowlers and snatched victory. They won the match by 5 wickets with 7 balls to spare.

    Chris Gayle –

    Chris Gayle was in excellent form in the previous match against Delhi Daredevils chasing 96. He timed the ball nicely and smashed the Delhi bowlers to all parts of the ground. He scored 62 runs off 35 balls and helped Bangalore win the match by 10 wickets. Against Rajasthan Royals he will be important to give the team a flying start and create pressure on the Rajasthan Royals bowling line-up.

    Mitchell Starc –

    Mitchell Starc has been in excellent form for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has taken 7 wickets in 3 matches and helped Royal Challengers Bangalore to win 2 matches on the trot. In the last match against Delhi Daredevils, he picked 3 wickets. Against Rajasthan Royals his role will be to pick early wickets and put the Rajasthan Royals batting line-up under pressure.

    Ajiyanka Rahane –

    Rahane has been in brilliant form in the tournament so far. He has scored 323 runs and is the leading run-scorer with the orange cap to his name. His batting has come off age and has clearly enjoyed batting this IPL.

    In the previous match against the same team he started well but did not score big. Against the same team today he needs to score runs if Rajasthan Royals have to put pressure on Royal Challengers Bangalore.

    Shane Watson –

    Shane Watson has looked in good touch after coming back from an injury. He has to bat well and score big runs which is going to be tough against the likes of Mitchell Starc. It is important Watson does well as a captain and think something out of the box if things are going out of hands. He needs to lead from the front and make the use of resources which will win the match.
