It was the final day of the Ranji Matches today and it was pretty much of an eventful one. Here is the round up for the day.

GROUP A

Baroda Vs. Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu were poised at the score of 51 runs for the loss of a single wicket. With the help of a brilliant century from Murali Vijay, they went on to reach the target of 207 runs quite comfortably and won the match by 7 wickets.

Madhya Pradesh Vs. Bengal: Bengal was following on in their second innings and were poised at the score of 111 runs for the loss of single wicket. They managed to draw the test today and they were at 303 runs for the loss of 8 wickets at the close of the day’s play.

Railways Vs. Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh had to score over 150 runs today to win the match. They were poised at the score of 75 for no loss at stumps of the third day. They reached to their target by losing 3 wickets.

Mumbai Vs. Karnataka: Mumbai declared their innings at the score of 223 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply, Karnataka were poised at the score of 110 runs for the loss of a single wicket at stumps of the day.

Group B

Saurashtra Vs. Odisha: Odisha were poised at the score of 128 runs for the loss of 2 wickets at stumps of the third day. They ultimately went on to win the match by a margin of 2 wickets.

Maharashtra Vs. Vidarbha: Vidharbha were bundled at the score of 391 runs and Maharashtra, in reply, reached the target of 168 runs by losing 4 wickets and thus won the match by 6 wickets.

Group C

Himachal Pradesh Vs. Hyderabad: Hyderabad played rather brilliantly with a sensational double century from Hanuma Vihari. They were poised at the score of 524 runs for the loss of 5 wickets when the Match was declared a draw.

Assam Vs. Kerela: Assam were poised at the score of 26 for no loss at stumps of the third day. They went on to score 188 runs for the loss of 6 wickets when the match was declared as a draw.
