Harbhajan Singh will be making his comeback to the first-class cricket when he takes the field for Punjab against Bengal on November 17.
Harbhajan was appointed as the captain of Punjab before the start of the season, but he missed the previous four games due to some or other reasons. It will be the first time in the ongoing Ranji season when Bhajji will make his comeback. He will also take over the captaincy from Jiwanjot Singh.

Harbhajan’s addition will be a big boost for Punjab’s spin department. Yuvraj Singh is expected to miss the game, as he is currently at NCA in Bangalore and is working on his fitness. He is likely to stay in NCA until November 28 and then undergo the yo-yo test, to present his case for selection in the limited overs squad against Sri Lanka.
Apart from Harbhajan, Punjab have the likes of Anmolpreet Singh, Abhishek Gupta, Jiwanjot Singh and Harbhajan Singh.
Punjab are currently placed at the second position in the points table with two wins in the account with 15 points. A win here will assure them a place in the next round.
