Ravi Bopara Heaps Praise on Bangladesh’s Mashrafe Mortaza

The English all-rounder Ravi Bopara is a seasoned campaigner when it comes to T20 cricket, playing T20 leagues all over the world.

Recently, he showered praises on Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza and said that he instills a lot of confidence in his players and always keen on playing. It will be his third stint with the franchise based tournament Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) when he takes the field for Rangpur Riders.

“Mash is a type of guy you want to play for,” he pointed out. “He gives 100 percent, so you have to give 100 percent. It is good for any team. Nobody can be lazy with Mash. He is a good cricketer. He is a very accurate bowler, and he can smack the ball against the spinners. He has authority, which is good,” the 32-year-old cricketer said recently.

Talking about next edition of the tournament, the cricketer from England mentioned that there had been good cricketers in the previous versions like Sri Lankan legend Kumara Sangakkara and Caribbean superstar Dwayne Bravo played in the last edition of the tournament which makes the game competitive.

He further added that in Bangladesh there are good players of spin whom he is looking forward to.

Bopara further mentioned they had a good team and will play competitive cricket against every team. He also admitted the pitches would play a significant role in shaping up the tournament.

“A lot depends on the pitches – if they are good we are going to have a good tournament. If they are bad, then it will be interesting. We expect competition against every team, but we have got the team,” he signed off.
