Snatching the victory from the host in the last match, Ravichandran Ashwin came under the limelight once again. Indian spinner Ashwin was the main artist who created the winning sculpture of India’s six wicket win against England in the 3rd One-Day International (ODI) in the last match. He was happy with his bowling and praised his another spin bowling partner Ravindra Jadeja. Both of them played really well in the last match. His carrom ball was inspired by Ajantha Mendis. That carrom ball, an arm ball just as good, his control over his off-breaks, and a sharp brain made Ashwin a quintessential One Day International spinner. Ashwin is one of the infrequent players who came into the public’s calculation through the IPL and yet was good enough to hold his own in bigger forms of cricket. Ashwin’s triumph in T20 cricket earned him a call-up to the national side, ODI firsts.

Ashwin said that he expected not to play in the first two test matches of this series which brought him enough time to work out on his bowling. He got enough time to understand the English pitch and to rectify himself. He is very happy as his bowling clicked and brought the victory. He thought that this pitch had more bounce than the test pitch. He was feeling lucky having a spinner like Ravindra Jadeja behind him. It helped a lot. Statistically Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were having a record of 60-65 wickets against England in the last couple of years. He did not forget the other two bowlers who bowled well in this match. He praised Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu. The Madrasi tweaker also praised the Raina for his fielding capacity. Raina is capable of attracting applause as an electric fielder in the circle. He took a brilliant catch in this match. Ashwin thought that the ball was going for four but he plucked it out. Ashwin is very confident and hoping to win the next matches in the series.
