Just a couple of days from the start of fourth Test, India head coach Anil Kumble was in all praise for all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has been in brilliant form this year in longest format of the game.

Having scored his career-best (90) at Mohali in the third Test against England – which India won by eight wickets – his confidence must’ve grown manifolds. He has also created a lot of problems for the visiting batsmen in Rajkot, Vizag and Mohali, the three tacks that were seemingly deemed batting friendly.

During a press conference, Kumble said:

“Ravindra Jadeja is capable of scoring big runs at Test level. I was really pleased with jadeja, who’s probably capable of scoring big runs, he’s shown that in the domestic competition. so, for him to get to 90 for the first time is i think will give him confidence, because once you do it then you have the confidence to do it again.”

In his last five Tests, Jadeja has taken 18 wickets and scored 185 runs.

The spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav will once again look to repeat their magic on the Wankhede wicket, that generally helps spin bowling.

With the series win in sight, Indian skipper Virat Kohli will hope the swashbuckling all-rounder will deliver once again and the hosts will register their first series victory against England in eight years.
