Ravindra Jadeja showcased his complete Rajputana ‘SWAG’ as he celebrated his half-century with a Talwaar Baazi celebration at Lord’s.

On being asked about the story behind his Talwaar baazi Celebration, Ravindra Jadeja was quoted saying to BCCI.tv

“It (bat-wielding celebration) has got to do with a tradition that we have among the Rajpoots,”

The 25-year-old said he will continue to celebrate in same way whenever he scores a 50.

“During festivals and special occasions, we have professional sword-fighters perform with a sword in each hand, moving them in that fashion. It’s called ‘talwaar baazi’. I only had one bat with me so I did it with one hand. I wanted to have a different celebration and so I had decided whenever I get a fifty, I will do that. MS bhai must have seen it and realised what I was doing. So, he was mimicking me,” he added.

This came on a day when Jadeja scored a brisk 68 off 57 in the second innings as India set England a target of 319. At close of play on Sunday, England were struggling at 105 for four.
