Sunil Gavaskar is miffed with Chris Broad's decision to leave Steven Smith unpunished.

After a hard fought battle on and off the field, India reclaimed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by defeating Australia in the final Test in Dharamshala. This series will be remembered for the battle between players, banter and the tough challenging cricket both teams have played against each other. Like in every India-Australia series off-field issues were also in trend.

Steve Smith in presentation ceremony offered an apology, and former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar said it is good he is admitting his mistakes.

“Steve Smith is a big man to admit that he has made mistakes, My respect for him has gone even higher for admitting that he was wrong”

Indian team reclaimed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after 2013-14. India last defeated Australia in a Test series was in 2013-14. India whitewashed Australia by 4-0 in that series. Sunil Gavaskar also credited India’s stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane; he said Ajinkya Rahane has a sharp cricketing brain and was outstanding as a leader.
