Cricket is called the gentlemen’s game but when India and Australia play each other, the gentle-manliness takes the back seat. Banters, altercations, interesting exchanges and a lot of fierce cricket totally describes every India versus Australia outing.
And no one knows it better than Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. The man always saved his best for the Aussies whether it was his bowling or sledging.
In a chat with Vikram Sathaye on the show ‘What The Duck’, the Turbanator revealed how he once tackled the sledging by the Australians.

The spinner recalled how once Darren Lehmann, who was fielding at short leg, was trying to break his concentration by sledging when he was batting in a match in Bengaluru.

Harbhajan revealed that as Lehmann continued to speak, he just looked at his stomach and asked, “Are you pregnant?”

The comment made Lehmann angry and he started abusing Harbhajan. But then the off-spinner replied to the Aussies in the best possible way. He took seven wickets in the next innings which forced Australian pacer, Glenn McGrath, to give a statement next day where he asked his team-mates to stop provoking Harbhajan, as he was only getting better.

An avid sports lover, i always wanted to pursue a career in football. But just like the millions out there i did not put in the hard work needed to achieve my dream and now i have become a fan instead of the player. Anyway, writing for sports has kept me closer to this field. One more thing, yours sincerely is a die-hard Liverpool fan.
    You will never walk alone.
