Rohit Sharma injures leg, unable to walk

In what can be termed as a massive blow to team India, star opener Rohit Sharma has suffered a leg injury. If sources close to the team are to be believed, then Sharma is not even been able to walk properly. The news was broken out by an Indian news agency, ABP News, and in a tweet, the news about Sharma’s injury was broken out.  If the news is indeed true, then the men in blue will have some serious issues in the team composition.

Flamboyant opener and Rohit’s partner Shikhar Dhawan too had recently suffered a knee injury and had to miss the all important game against Pakistan last evening. In Dhawan’s absence, Ajinkya Rahane replaced him, who was dismissed for a duck by Mohammad Aamir. Rohit Sharma too did not have the best of outings as he was trapped LBW for a duck by Aamir on just his second delivery.

India though, are positioned at the top of the points table in the Asia Cup with two wins is as many games. The men in blue are now scheduled to face Sri Lanka and UAE in the Asia Cup. However, the major worry would be the time needed for Rohit to recover, as the ICC World T20 is barely two weeks away.
