The two legends of the game are going to come together but this time it’s not cricket but golf , which is going to bring them together. They have never batted together but now there is every possibility that they will play golf together.

The possibility arose after Sunil Gavaskar was given the lifetime membership at the Els Club at Dubai Sports City. Earlier Sachin Tendulkar had received this  membership during the UAE leg of IPL7,where he was a part of the Mumbai Indians management.

Gavaskar, the first player to score 10,000 Test runs , received this honour from Dubai Sports City Partner  Abdulrahman Falaknaz and Dubai Sports City President Khalid Al Zarooni at a private ceremony at The Els Club.

Gavaskar said that, once he played Golf with Sachin , in Chittagong in Bangladesh and Tendulkar was good at it . He added that if at some moment of time,he and Sachin are together at Dubai , then they will fancy playing Golf together.

“Yes, I think at some stage if we are here in Dubai we will certainly look to play together but I think he has got a head start. I believe he has already had some golfing lessons over here at the Butch Harmon School of Golf (at Dubai Sports City) which is a world-famous academy, so I am pretty certain he is going to beat me by a mile,” he added

Gavaskar praised the School of Golf and the facilities there . he added that he had been there for lunch there. The evening weather is pleasant there and the atmosphere is worth relaxing there, he added.

Gavaskar was recently made the Interim President of the BCCI and looked after the IPL affairs. The IPL was a huge success and was free from non-cricketing issues.
