Sachin Tendulkar to fly to Rio and cheer Indian Contingent

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is all set to fly to Rio de Janeiro on 2nd August as he received a special invitation from International Olympic committee president Thomas Bach. The legendary cricketer would be joined by few other eminent personalities from all around the world.
This would also be Sachin’s first visit to a summer Olympic games. The 43-year old will meet Indian contingent ahead of the games which will kick-start on 5th August. The experience of the player who has served the nation for over two decades will be very handy for Indian contingent going into Olympics.
Sachin has also recently visited a government hospital in Mumbai as he took vaccination for Yellow fever which is mandatory for any person who would visit Brazil.
“This will be Tendulkar’s first visit to the Olympics games. He would be leaving for Rio de Janeiro on 2 August, during his visit he would also be meeting the Indian contingent to wish them well for the games,” a source said.
“Sachin recently visited the government hospital in Mumbai to get a yellow fever vaccination which is mandatory for countries like Brazil,” the source added.
Sachin has recently undergone a knee surgery and has recovered in time to make it to Rio for the Olympics. In his role as a good-will ambassador for International Olympic Association, Sachin has already met the Indian wrestling contingent and would meet the entire Olympic squad in the coming days.
