There will be a memorable match to be held at Lord’s on the 5th of July between Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Rest Of the World XI. The legendary cricketer with 100 international centuries after his name, Sachin Tendulkar will captain the MCC side while the Rest Of the World XI will be led by one of the greatest leg spinners, Shane Warne.

Kevin Pietersen will also play the match and recently during practise, he was pretty much excited about the fact when the master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar allowed Pietersen to use Sachin’s bat for the match. Pietersen will play for the Rest Of The World Team which will be led by Warne.

Pietersen also went onto tweet about the matter and he feels blessed to have played in an era where plenty of legends played. He also feels honoured to be part of the bicentenary match at Lord’s.

The match will be held on account of the fact of MCC’s bicentenary. It will be an ODI match to be held on the 5th of July. The Lord’s completes 200 years on June 22, 1814 when it hosted the first known match between MCC and Hertfordshire.

It will be a fantastic match for sure as we are about to witness the mouth watering contest between the two brilliant players of the game, Sachin and Warne. Warne has retired from international cricket for quite sometime now and Sachin retired from international cricket on November, 2013. It will be after a span of 7 months, after which the cricket world will witness the little master to bat again.

The MCC team consists of Rahul Dravid, alongwith two legends of West Indian Cricket, Brian Charles Lara and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Brett Lee and Daniel Vettori.

In the Rest Of the World team there are the likes of Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan, Adam Gilchrist, Pietersen and others.
